Charitable donation marks Dudley Designs and Technical Services 25th year in business

After celebrating their 25th year in business, Dudley Designs and Technical Services Limited chose to donate to charity rather than throwing a party to mark the occasion.  Around 80 present and past customers sent in business cards to the firm.  A draw was held in December and a donation of £250 was made to a charity of the winning business’s choice.  Helm X Fabrications Limited won the draw and their chosen charity was ‘The Air Ambulance’.

Commenting on the competition, Ian Richards, Sales and Admin Manager, said: “We felt the money was far better spent to benefit a charitable concern, rather than throwing a party.  We would like to thank everyone who sent in their business cards and thank Helm X Fabrications for such an excellent choice in charitable organisation.”

The Dudley based company specialise in engineering design and drawing work, publications and technical consultancy requirements.  In their 25 year history they have successfully completed a wide range of engineering design and detail drawing work for new products, machines or vehicles as desired by their customers.  In particular, 2012 saw a number of notable successes, including some of the biggest testing machines in the UK, heavy lifting gear for the defence and naval industries, as well as structural and security equipment for the Olympics.  With an experienced staff of over 30 engineers they continue to be well placed to deal with every size and type of engineering company.

Dudley Designs also create their own designs and already have ideas lined up for 2013.  These are currently set to include sawdust compaction machines, grain chaser bins (up to 20 tons capacity), special stretchers for undertakers and the emergency and military services, hog roast machines, various types of narrow boats, tyre making machines and packaging machines.

Their 25 year history has been characterised by many triumphs and the business has continued to move forward despite the difficulty of the economic climate in recent years.  Furthermore, their customer database is spread throughout the UK and continues to grow as testament to their flexibility and dedication to customer service.

They have completed work for a wide range of sectors from aerospace and defence equipment, to nuclear and architecture sectors.  Their designs have also incorporated everything from bathroom plug chains up to a 2000 ton tensile testing machine.  Despite their success, Dudley Designs and Technical Services Limited have no plans to be resting on their laurels.  They have a number of projects lined up for the future and are continuing their endeavours to maintain the very best in quality, service and value for money.
